The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a 32-year-old man for sexual exploitation of a child. A news release explained that 32-year-old Adrian Acevedo was taken into custody for possessing child sexual abuse material on December 1, 2023. Authorities say Acevedo lives in the 800 block of 29th Street in Boulder.

An investigation was opened after the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received information about possible possession of child sexual abuse material from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Authorities executed a search warrant at Acevedo’s residence on November 8, 2023. According to authorities, multiple electronic devices were seized.

Later analysis of said devices discovered that multiple files were found in violation of sexual exploitation of a child, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office. Acevedo was booked into the Boulder County Jail with no bond on one count of sexual exploitation of a child-possession (Class 4 Felony) and two counts of sexual exploitation of a child-possession (Class 5 Felonies).
