The Boston Police Department has announced the arrest of a second suspect in the slaying of 34-year-old Wilfredo Landaverde Arevalo of Medford. Around 7:30 a.m. on January 11, 2024, the Fugitive Unit apprehended 26-year-old Julio Ardon of Fall River in the area of 464 Birch Street.

Boston Police say the suspect was wanted on a warrant for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon in connection to the slaying of Arevalo. According to Boston Police, District A-7 officers responded to the area of 186 Grove Street for a person stabbed around 6:39 a.m. on December 15, 2023.

At the scene, officers found an adult male, Arevalo, with life-threatening stab wounds. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
