The Boston Police Department announced it has arrested a 33-year-old man in connection to a shooting incident in Roxbury. BPD says members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested 33-year-old Keon Baker in the area of 3 Monadnock Street around 3:37 p.m. on May 31, 2024.
The suspect was wanted on warrants for unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, according to BPD. Area B-2 detectives obtained a search warrant for 3 Monadnock Street.
During the search, detectives say they seized three firearms and ammunition. Around 10:42 p.m. on May 23, officers responded to 725 Dudley Street following a Shot Spotter alert. At the scene, responding officers found ballistic evidence.
