Boca Raton, Florida – The Boca Raton Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred last night around 11 p.m.

According to a BRPD statement, officers responded to the Walgreens in the 1000 block of Southwest 2nd Avenue for an armed robbery.

Authorities say an unknown male suspect entered the store and approached the cashier. The suspect produced a black semi-automatic firearm and demanded money, according to police.

The suspect fled the store with the register tray. According to BRPD, the suspect is described as a black male with an average build around 5’5 to 5’6 and in his mid to late 20s.
