The Blount County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect in the death of a deputy on Thursday evening. According to BCSO, warrants have been issued for Kenneth Dehart for first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and felon in possession of a firearm.

BCSO and other agencies are searching for Dehart in connection to the death of a deputy and the injury of another on Thursday evening. BCSO says Dehart is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him should not approach him.

Instead, call 911. Sevierville Road between Keeble Road and Destiny Road is closed for an indefinite period.
