A 21-year-old man is behind bars in connection to a shooting at a Shell gas station that injured seven people. The Birmingham Police Department reports that detectives obtained warrants to arrest 21-year-old Armonta Davis.
Davis is accused of being involved in an incident in which seven people were shot at the Shell at 800 3rd Avenue West on May 5, 2024. BPD Homicide Detectives released photos of the person of interest on May 22, 2024.
The same day, Davis turned himself into police. He was transported to the Birmingham Jail and placed on a 48-hour felony extension. BPD detectives say they found evidence that identified Davis as the suspect in the shooting.
Davis is now charged with Attempted Murder and Assault 1st Degree X’s 2.
