The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a fatal accident that occurred around 1 p.m. on Saturday. BCSO reports that the incident occurred on Jones Road at School Road.

Authorities received a call informing them of the accident around 12:52 p.m. BCSO says it was reported that a minivan and motorcycle collided at the intersection. The male driver of the motorcycle was taken to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The driver has been identified as 19-year-old Christopher Allen Jr. The second motorist was a 44-year-old woman who did not sustain any injuries. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact BCSO at 478-751-7500 and ask to speak with a Fatality Investigator.
