The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office announced it was assisting Atrium Health Navicent Police with an armed barricaded subject inside a restroom in a medical building. According to a social media post from BCSO, a call for assistance was received around 9:16 p.m. from Atrium Navicent Police.

Authorities say an armed male was locked inside a restroom in a medical office building located at 770 Pine Street. Shots were reportedly fired inside the room occupied by the suspect. At the scene, it was determined that the suspect was alone inside the restroom and was not holding anyone hostage.

The suspect is contained inside the restroom and no one has been harmed. The building is not occupied by any civilians or staff. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is working to remove the subject.
