Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrests two after two and four-year-old children found with injuries

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has announced two arrests after two children were found with injuries. BCSO says the incident was reported to the Macon Bibb Emergency 911 Center on September 19, 2024 around 10 a.m.

Deputies responded to a home in Del Park to carry out a welfare check on two small children. The check came after a witness reported the children at the residence were in danger.

At the scene, deputies found a two-year-old male and a four-year-old female suffering from injuries. 32-year-old Kyle David Rogers was taken into custody without incident. BCSO says Rogers is the father of the children.

The children were transported to a medical facility for treatment. Authorities say the two-year-old male is in stable but critical condition. The four-year-old female is in stable condition. Rogers is facing charges of Aggravated Battery, Aggravated Assault, two counts of First-Degree Cruelty to Children, Battery, and three counts of Terroristic Threats.

He is being held without bond. The mother of the children, Dajanae Nicole Jones, was taken into custody on September 20, 2024. She is charged with two counts of First-Degree Cruelty to Children.

Authorities say she also had outstanding warrants from the Sandy Springs Police Department and DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. She is also being held without bond.
