The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a 46-year-old on 15 felony charges in a sexual assault case involving multiple juveniles. According to a news release from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, 46-year-old Benjamin Sexton of Fenton has been charged with seven counts of Statutory Rape or Attempted Statutory Rape with a Person Less than 14 Years Old, and five counts of Statutory Sodomy or Attempted Statutory Sodomy with Deviant Sexual Intercourse with a Person less than 14 Years Old.

Sexton is also facing one count each of Statutory Sodomy 1st Degree with Deviant Sexual Intercourse with a person less than 14 years old, Child Molestation 1st Degree, and Statutory Rape 2nd Degree. Detectives allege the crimes date back to 2016 when the victim was seven and continued through November of this year.

Deputies were made aware of the allegations on December 25. Sexton was taken into custody on December 14 and is being held at the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
