Bay County Sheriff’s Office arrests four individuals following a fight at Jinks Middle School

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office has arrested four individuals following a fight at Jinks Middle School. According to BCSO, a fight broke out at the school between two students. As a result, authorities arrested three juveniles and an adult. The School Resource Deputy responded to the fight and arrested the aggressor.

Another student had phoned the aggressor’s mother who arrived at the school with a baby in her arms and additional juvenile family members. The family confronted the School Resource Deputy and another deputy who had responded to assist. BCSO says the family members of the arrested student jumped the School Resource Officer as he was trying to put the student into his vehicle.

The other deputy stepped in to help. The School Resource Officer requested backup leading to 12 deputies and officers from the Panama City Police Department to respond to the scene. Phyllisia Causey was arrested for Battery on a LEO and Resisting Without violence. 13-year-old Jewel Moore was arrested for Disruption of School Function and Resisting with Violence.

Two 16-year-old juveniles were arrested for Trespassing on School Property.
