The Baton Rouge Police Department has arrested a suspect in a fatal shooting on West Brookstown Drive. According to BRPD, Homicide Detectives arrested 34-year-old Keith Williams for his alleged involvement in the fatal shooting of Robert Lavallias. Williams was taken into custody by the US Marshals Task Force in DeKalb County, Georgia.

He was extradited to Baton Rouge and booked on charges of 2nd Degree Murder and Illegal Use of Weapons. On May 27, 2023, Homicide Detectives launched an investigation into the death of 29-year-old Robert Lee Lavallias Jr who was fatally shot in the 4100 block of West Brookstown Drive around 11:55 p.m. the night before.

The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
