A man is behind bars in Baton Rouge in connection to a non-fatal shooting on Saturday morning. The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that 21-year-old Arron Brown was arrested on charges of Attempt 2nd Degree Murder, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities.
Just after 12 p.m. on August 10, 2024, Brown and another man were allegedly arguing in the 5300 block of Clayton Street. It is alleged that Brown pulled out a handgun and shot the victim multiple times.
The victim was transported to an area hospital by a family member. Initially, the victim was in critical condition. His condition has since been upgraded to stable. Brown was at the scene when police arrived and was immediately taken into custody.
