An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of Javezz Dunn. The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that its Homicide Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Dunn that occurred in the 1700 block of North Harco Drive around 10:30 p.m. on July 13.

Officers found Dunn lying behind a building complex suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. On July 16, 2024, BRPD confirmed that 18-year-old Christen Baker had been arrested for his alleged involvement in the shooting.

Baker allegedly shot Dunn following a verbal argument. Baker was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of 2nd Degree Murder and Illegal Use of a Weapon.
