The Barstow Police Department is investigating a shooting in the 1200 block of Joshua Tree Drive. Around 2:11 a.m. on February 10, 2024, BPD dispatch received a call regarding a shooting that had occurred at a residence at the aforementioned location.

At the scene, officers found 25-year-old Ryan Dazzi near the front door suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. BPD said 50-year-old Patrick Dull was detained without incident. Dazzi was transported to Barstow Community Hospital and eventually taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

The victim ultimately succumbed to his injuries. BPD’s Detective Division took control of the investigation. Dull was booked for murder.
