The Barron Police Department is searching for home invasion and robbery suspects. According to a social media post from BPD, dispatch received a report of an armed home invasion in the area of East River Avenue and Highway 25 just before 6 p.m. on December 19, 2023. City of Barron Police, Mayo EMS, Barron First Responders, and Barron County Sheriff’s Department personnel responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, it was learned that an elderly victim had been assaulted, tied, and bound. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money by threat of force. BPD said the male suspects were armed with handguns and remain at large.

Authorities believe this was a targeted attack.
