The Barron County Sheriff’s Department announced in a social media post that it is investigating the deaths of a man and woman on Sunday.

According to BCSD, the Department’s 911 center received a call of a woman lying outside not moving in a pool of blood at a residence just north of Chetek around 12:50 p.m. on December 15.

BCSD says deputies, members of the Rice Lake Police Department, WI DNR, and the Chetek Ambulance responded to the scene. The Barron County Bearcat was used to approach the residence and a deceased female was found outside.

Authorities say a deceased male was found inside the residence. BCSD confirms deputies responded to the same residence for a domestic disturbance in September of this year. No other details are being provided at this time.
