Banks County man and Oconee County man arrested for sexual exploitation of children in Georgia on separate occasions

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has announced the arrests of two men for the sexual exploitation of children. According to the GBI, the Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit arrested and charged 22-year-old Damion Jackson McCluskey, of Banks County, with sexual exploitation of children on November 7, 2023. The GBI CEACC Unit began investigating McCluskey’s online activity after receiving a Cyber Tipline Report from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children about possible possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.

On November 7, authorities carried out a search warrant at McCluskey’s residence in Banks County. Authorities seized multiple electronic devices which were processed by digital forensic investigators. A GBI press release says the investigation revealed evidence that McCluskey possessed and distributed child sexual abuse material. McCluskey was arrested and booked into the Banks County jail.

On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit and the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested 74-year-old Gerald Glen Fleming who has been charged with ten counts of sexual exploitation of children. A Cyber Tipline Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led to the investigation into Fleming’s online activity.

A search warrant was executed at Fleming’s Oconee County residence on November 7. During the search, digital forensic investigators with the GBI seized and processed multiple electronic devices. The GBI says the search revealed evidence that Fleming possessed and distributed child sexual abuse material. Fleming was arrested and booked into the Oconee County jail.
