Patrol officers from the Southern District were dispatched to the 100 Block of South Carey Street to investigate a shooting report at about 3:16 a.m. on October 13, 2023. Upon arrival, officers found a 20-year-old gunshot victim. The 20-year-old female was taken to a local hospital for treatment. She is listed in stable condition.

Following an investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for a 21-year-old Baltimore man. Dontr’e Carmichael was charged with attempted 1^st-degree murder, according to the report.
