The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred earlier today. Around 6:47 p.m. on January 16, 2024, Eastern District officers were patrolling the area of Mayfield Avenue and Belair Road. They were approached by a victim who informed them he had been shot in the 3200 block of Harwell Avenue.

The 17-year-old male victim sustained a gunshot wound to the face. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Eastern District Shooting detectives responded to initiate an investigation.
