The Baltimore Police Department has announced an arrest in a shooting investigation. On March 19, 2024, detectives served an arrest warrant for attempted 1st-degree murder on 32-year-old Shairor Whitaker. Detectives think she is responsible for shooting a 48-year-old female victim in the 800 block of Bethune Road on March 3, 2024.

Whitaker was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility. The shooting occurred on March 3, 2024. Southern District officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a shooting victim. At the hospital, officers learned that the victim was suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

The victim told officers she had been shot in the 800 block of Bethune Road.
