Baltimore Police Department arrests Andre Canady for shooting on Bloomingdale Road

A man has been arrested in connection to a non-fatal shooting in Baltimore, Maryland. According to the Baltimore Police Department, Northwest District officers heard gunfire in the 3100 block of West North Avenue around 12:56 a.m. on March 19, 2024. Officers canvassed the area and found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds in the 1800 block of Bloomingdale Road.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. On April 24, 2024, BPD announced investigators had arrested 24-year-old Andre Canady of Baltimore. Investigators say Canady was involved in a physical altercation in the 1800 block of Bloomingdale Road that led to the 23-year-old male victim being shot.

On April 3, detectives arrested Canady and transported him to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.
