The Baltimore Police Department has announced an arrest in connection to a shooting on August 18, 2024. Around 8:01 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of North Spring Street for several calls of a shooting.
At the scene, responding officers found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Additional victims also walked into area hospitals suffering from gunshot wounds. BPD says eight shooting victims were identified by officers.
They include a 36-year-old man, a 46-year-old man, a 23-year-old man, a 40-year-old man, a 41-year-old woman, a 45-year-old man, a 22-year-old man, and an unidentified adult male. The 36-year-old male, Anthony Martin, was pronounced deceased at an area hospital.
On October 7, 2024, the Warrant Apprehension Task Force arrested 43-year-old Eric Kibler. Detectives say they identified Kibler as the person who fatally shot 36-year-old Anthony Martin.
Kibler was booked on charges of First-Degree Murder and more.
