The Baltimore County Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred around 9:05 p.m. on Sunday night. Around 9:05 p.m. on October 27, 2024, BCPD says its officers responded to Belair Road and Madeline Avenue for a reported assault in progress.

At the scene, officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. BCPD says the victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Detectives have taken over the investigation.
