The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office was involved in a deputy-involved shooting in the 6400 block of Masonic Drive, according to authorities.

RPSO reports that Alexandria Police and Louisiana State Police are on the scene providing assistance.

Police ask that motorists drive with caution in the area because there is a large law enforcement presence. No other details are available at this time.
