Austin Police Department looking for two persons of interest in relation to fatal crash that claimed life of active duty soldier Migle Kungyte

The Austin Police Department announced it was looking for two persons of interest who may have information about a deadly crash. The Police Department’s Vehicular Homicide Unit is asking for the public’s help in identifying the two persons of interest. APD officers responded to a call of a crash in the 2200 block of East 7th Street around 3:07 a.m. on October 8, 2023.

Upon arrival, officers located a female victim deceased. Authorities identified the victim as Migle Kungyte who was an Active Duty Soldier. During the investigation, detectives found video footage that shows two persons of interest who may have information about the incident.

The first person is described as a white or Hispanic male. When last seen, the individual was wearing a white ball cap, light shirt, dark shorts, and white socks with white shoes. The second person is described as a Hispanic or black male. That individual was wearing a black jacket, grey shirt, and blue jeans.

The vehicle that may be involved in the incident is described as a white 2018 to 2022 Toyota 4Runner Limited Edition. It has no front plate and an unknown rear license plate. The vehicle had a bike rack on the rear. Anyone with information should contact the Capital Area Crime Stoppers at 512-472-8477.
