The Austin Police Department announced in a social media post that it is investigating an officer-involved shooting. According to that post, APD officers are investigating an OIS that occurred in the 200 block of East 6th Street.

Details are limited at this time. Authorities have not said anything about the injuries or the circumstances leading up to the shooting. Police are working to schedule a briefing time and choose a staging area.
