The Austin Police Department has announced the arrest of a 34-year-old Hispanic man in connection to the death of Javier Antonio Navarro Quesada. Around 10:30 a.m. on July 24, 2024, APD officers responded to a shoot/stab hotshot call at 2101 Burton Drive.

The caller informed authorities that someone had been stabbed. Officers and medical personnel reached the scene and found the victim suffering from a stab wound. The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

APD later identified the victim as Javier Antonio Navarro Quesada. APD says the investigation indicated that an altercation resulted over a stolen vehicle. Alex Trevino was arrested and booked into the Travis County Jail.

Trevino is charged with murder.
