Aurora Police make arrest in Friday night’s fatal shooting

The Aurora Police Department Major Crime Homicide unit has announced an arrest in a fatal shooting on Friday night. Around 8 p.m., APD officers responded to a report of a shooting at a home in the 1700 block of Paris Street. At the scene, officers found one adult female suffering from a gunshot wound inside the residence.

The victim succumbed to her injuries at the scene. APD said the investigation identified 32-year-old Kelynn Lewis as a suspect in the shooting. Lewis was arrested for First-Degree Murder on Sunday morning.
