The Aurora Police Department has confirmed multiple arrests of gang members in connection to a shooting. APD reports that it has confirmed the suspects arrested for the shooting in July on Nome Street have gang ties.
On July 29, 2024, APD arrested 24-year-old Jhonnarty Dejesus Pacheco-Chirinos for attempted murder and other charges. APD now confirms that he is a documented member of TdA, Tren de Aragua.
APD also says that he’s the brother of Jhonardy Jose Pacheco-Chirino, who is also known as “Cookie” or “Galleta”. Both men remain in the custody of ICE. Two others arrested on the same day are suspected gang members.
APD says they are 20-year-old Dixon Azuaje-Perez and 19-year-old Nixon Azuaje-Perez. Both men have been arrested for tampering with evidence in connection to the same shooting. These men are suspected members of TdA.
