The Aurora Police Department has announced the arrest of a documented Tren de Aragua gang member, 23-year-old Roiberth Daniel Mora-Marquez. The suspect was arrested on Wednesday night by APD’s Gang Intervention Unit.
APD reports that Mora-Marquez was wanted on two active warrants out of Adams and Arapahoe district courts. In Adams District Court, Mora-Marquez is charged with Aggravated First-Degree Assault, Second-Degree Kidnapping, Third-Degree Assault, and Felony Menacing.
APD says the charges stem from an incident on April 4 and an assault over unpaid rent money. On April 17, Mora-Marquez was arrested. He posted a $20,000 bond. A warrant for his arrest was issued when he failed to appear in court.
In Arapahoe District Court, Mora-Marquez faces charges of Felony Menacing, Illegal Discharge of a Firearm, Harassment, and Reckless Endangerment. The charges are linked to a June 28 shooting in the 400 block of Nile Street.
APD confirms Mora-Marquez is one of the ten documented TdA gang members the department released information on earlier this month. He is currently being held at the Aurora Detention Center with no bond.
