An 18-year-old male was arrested on December 6, 2023, in connection with the death of 22-year-old Nikolai Knud Hannemann. Austin Fontana has been remanded to the Denton County Jail on a $1 million bond.

Aubrey Police Department responded to Concord Drive in Providence Village in Texas before 8:00 a.m. on December 5, 2023, to investigate a report of a shooting.

Hannemann and Fontana shared the same residence. Hannemann was pronounced deceased. The specifics of the victim’s death are not known at this time.

Fontana has been charged with murder.
