The Arlington County Police Department announces in a media release that its Homicide/Robbery Unit is investigating a domestic homicide-suicide in the Pentagon City neighborhood. Around 4:15 p.m. on March 5, 2024, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of 12th Street South for a possible death.

ACPD said the initial information suggests building maintenance entered the home to conduct a welfare check on behalf of a concerned family member. Responding officers found an adult male and an adult female deceased from apparent gunshot wounds inside the bedroom.

The incident is being investigated as a homicide-suicide. No other details are available at this time.
