Arkansas State Police investigating triple shooting on Interstate 40

North Little Rock, Arkansas – Arkansas State Police said in a statement that it is investigating a triple shooting that killed one teenager and left two others injured.

According to an ASP statement, the shooting occurred on December 28 around 3:45 a.m. ASP troopers responded to Arkansas Children’s Hospital where a 20-year-old Little Rock man had transported three teens.

Police say the teens were shot while traveling in a vehicle the 20-year-old was driving westbound on Interstate 40 near Protho Junction.

According to ASP, a 17-year-old Little Rock boy was shot multiple times and passed away. An 18-year-old victim and a 17-year-old victim were also shot. One was treated and released.

The other victim remains hospitalized. Police say two other passengers, 16 and 18, were not injured. The deceased victim was taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab.
