A person is dead following a fatal shooting in Antioch, California. The Antioch Police Department reports that its officers responded to an apartment complex at 600 Wilbur Avenue for a report of a shooting just before 7:30 p.m. on July 11, 2024.

At the scene, responding officers found an adult male victim in the street near the center of the apartment complex. The victim suffered a fatal gunshot wound. APD’s Investigations Bureau responded to assume control of the investigation.
