The Anaheim Police Department is investigating a homicide that took the life of a 49-year-old man. Around 3:17 a.m. on January 24, 2024, police responded to a report of a shooting in the 200 block of East Wakefield Avenue. At the scene, officers located a 49-year-old man who had collapsed on the porch of an apartment.

The victim was suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim was later identified as Marcy Aguilar.
