An Absecon man has been charged in Pleasantville homicide of Mamadou Toure

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has announced charges against an Absecon man in connection to an October homicide in Pleasantville. A news release from the Prosecutor’s Office explains that 41-year-old Jerome Holley, of Absecon, was charged with the murder of 45-year-old Mamadou Toure on December 1, 2023. The incident happened on October 9, 2023 in Pleasantville.

The Pleasantville Police Department responded to a call of a shooting in the area of 7 West Pleasant Avenue around 8:41 AM on October 9, 2023. Upon arrival, officers located Toure unresponsive in a driveway with at least one gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Holly is facing charges of first-degree murder, second-degree possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, second-degree possession of a handgun without a permit to carry, and second-degree certain persons not to possess firearms. Holly is being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
