The Allentown Police Department is currently investigating a shooting after a gunshot victim was found on campus. APD reports that its officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of West Liberty Street for a report of a shooting around 9 p.m. on October 25, 2024.

APD says its officers made contact with Muhlenberg College Department of Campus Safety and Police who had found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The shooting had reportedly taken place off campus.

The victim was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive their injuries, according to authorities. Police say there is no immediate threat or danger to the public at this time.
