Allegheny County Police searching for 18-year-old Braddock man wanted in double shooting

The Allegheny County Police Department is searching for an 18-year-old man who is wanted in connection to a double shooting in Braddock. According to ACPD, County 911 received a notification of a shooting in the 600 block of Margaretta Street around 7:49 p.m. on April 1, 2024. At the scene, first responders located a 16-year-old male victim deceased. A second juvenile male was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

The deceased victim has been identified as 16-year-old Jeramyah Pollard. ACPD detectives say they determined that a group of individuals had been involved in an altercation at a park in Braddock. A short time later, some of those individuals arrived at a residence on Moody Street. 18-year-old Darien Wallace is accused of exiting the residence with a handgun and pursuing the group.

It is alleged that Wallace caught up with some of them and shot Pollard. A second male was also shot. Wallace is being sought on charges of criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and illegal possession of a firearm.
