The Allegheny County Police Department is investigating a shooting in Clairton. ACPD reports that its General Investigations Unit responded to a request for assistance in Clairton. Around 4:08 p.m. on June 27, 2024, County 911 received a report of a shooting in the 1100 block of Marion Circle.

At the scene, first responders located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. Detectives responded to investigate the shooting.

ACPD says the preliminary information suggests that the injured man and two other men were engaged in a shootout resulting in the injury. Three individuals are accounted for.
