Update – The Allegheny County Police Department announced charges against 19-year-old Emmanuel Houghton and 22-year-old Tyler Stewart in this incident.

Both are facing charges of Criminal Homicide, Conspiracy, Robbery, and Firearm Violations. They are in the Allegheny County Jail awaiting preliminary arraignment.

Original – The Allegheny County Police Department is investigating a shooting following a vehicle collision. ACPD says its Homicide Unit responded to a request for assistance in Ohio Township.

Around 6:20 p.m. on August 2, 2024, County 911 received a notification of a single-vehicle collision on Ben Avon Heights Road near Gass Road. At the scene, first responders found Good Samaritans performing CPR on an adult male in cardiac arrest.

Medics reached the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital. The victim succumbed to his injuries around 7:28 p.m. Medical staff discovered that the victim had suffered a gunshot wound to the torso.

As a result, detectives initiated an investigation into the fatal shooting. ACPD is asking anyone who heard a gunshot in the Ben Avon Heights area between 6 and 6:20 p.m. to contact the Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. No other details are available.
