The Allegheny County Police Department is currently investigating a fatal shooting in Wilmerding. ACPD says its Homicide Unit responded to a request for assistance in Wilmerding on August 14.

Around 2:13 p.m. on August 13, County 911 received a report of a shooting in the 100 block of State Street. At the scene, first responders found an adult male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Detectives have initiated an investigation into the fatal shooting. No other details are available at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
