A body was found inside a vehicle in the Allegheny River. The Allegheny County Police Department is investigating the case. ACPD reports that County 911 was notified of human remains inside a vehicle in the Allegheny River near the 100 block of Butler Street around 11:56 a.m.

The Murrysville Dive team was training in the area when they found the vehicle. The remains will be taken to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office for identification. The Medical Examiner will also determine the cause of death.
