Allegheny County Police charge three men in connection with disappearance and death of man

The Allegheny County Police Department has charged three men in relation to the disappearance and death of a Westmoreland County man. Just before 5:30 p.m. on December 27, 2023, Kennedy Township Police found an unoccupied black F-350 close to the intersection of Robinson Boulevard and Ewing Road.

The owner of the vehicle, 57-year-old George Dayieb, had previously been reported missing and endangering by Murrysville Police. The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide and General Investigation Units were requested. Detectives discovered that Dayieb had left his home on the morning of December 27 to meet 41-year-old Jeremy Fisher to collect a large debt owed by Fisher.

Detectives say they reviewed security footage showing Dayieb getting into Fisher’s vehicle near a gas station on Broadhead Road in Coraopolis at 10:17 a.m. on December 27. According to detectives, they were able to determine that Fisher had conspired with 58-year-old William Fortuna and 20-year-old Braden Elliott to kill Dayieb.

Detectives believe the victim was shot in Fisher’s vehicle before being driven to a property known to the suspects in Clarion County. A search warrant was obtained for the property in Clarion County on December 29. The victim’s body was found inside a trailer. It was determined that he had a single gunshot wound to the rear of his head.

Fisher, Furtuna, and Elliot are facing various charges including criminal homicide, criminal conspiracy, and abuse of a corpse. William Fortuna and Braden Elliot were apprehended on December 30. Jeremy Fisher is still at large. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call the Allegheny County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
