The Allegheny County Police Department has announced charges against a 17-year-old after shots were fired at officers in Stowe Township. Around 2:07 p.m. on March 5, 2024, McKees Rocks Police Department officers and Stowe Township Police Department officers were investigating in unmarked police vehicle in Stowe Township.

Officers stopped in the 700 block of Woodward Avenue when a male suspect allegedly fired multiple shots at their vehicle. A McKees Rocks Police Department officer exited the vehicle and returned fire. The officers were not injured. The suspect fled the scene.

Detectives with the Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit responded to investigate. Detectives say they were able to identify 17-year-old Delvonte Woodson as the person responsible for the shooting. Woodson was taken into custody and will be charged as an adult.
