The Aliquippa Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Thursday night. APD reports that its officers responded to the 200 block of Linmar Terrace for reports of shots fired.

As officers were responding to the scene, dispatch advised that a man was down on the ground and had been struck. At the scene, officers rendered aid to the male victim. Fire and EMS reached the scene.

The male was life flighted. He was last known to be in stable condition. APD says the Hopewell Township Police Department assisted. No other details are available at this time.
