Aliquippa Police arrests man who allegedly strangled and threatened to kill girlfriend

The Aliquippa Police Department has arrested a man on Sunday after he allegedly strangled and threatened to kill his girlfriend. APD reports that officers responded to 300 Superior Avenue C Building Valley Terrace for a report of shots fired and a domestic disturbance around 4:40 p.m. on August 25, 2024.

Authorities spoke to a female victim who fled the scene and retreated to a nearby business. The female told police that she and her boyfriend had gotten into an argument at her apartment and she told him to leave.

The female victim reportedly identified 38-year-old Andre Robinson. The female said that Robinson strangled her and threatened to kill her. APD says the victim said she took her juvenile child and left the apartment.

Robinson allegedly followed her and strangled her again as she was leaving. Once she was allegedly able to escape, the female approached her vehicle. Robinson allegedly pulled out a firearm and fired a shot in the air.

The female admitted to keying Robinson’s vehicle. Robinson allegedly threatened to kill her. As the female victim drove away the scene, Robinson allegedly fired a shot towards her windshield and she hit him with her car to get away.

Robinson allegedly fired two more shots as she drove away. APD officers apprehended Robinson who is charged with Aggravated Assault, Strangulation, Terroristic Threats, Recklessly Endangering, and Firing into an Occupied Vehicle.

A firearm was also seized.
