Update – APD says a second suspect, Mario Jesus Alaniz Jr., was also arrested and charged with Murder and two counts of Aggravated Assault.

Original – The Alice Police Department announced on social media that it had arrested a suspect in a triple shooting. APD says its officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1000 block of North Wright around 1 a.m. on November 6, 2024.

At the scene, responding officers reportedly found a male lying face down in the driveway. Police say a second male and a female were found inside the residence suffering from gunshot wounds.

APD confirms that all three individuals were transported to Spohn Shoreline Hospital in Corpus Christi. The female victim was pronounced deceased at 3:05 a.m. Police have identified the victim as Kirsten Saenz.

APD says the two male victims remain in critical condition. Alice Police have announced the arrest of Matthew Garcia who was wanted for Murder and two counts of Aggravated Assault.
