The Alexandria Police Department says it is currently investigating the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man on Manor Road on Saturday night. APD reports that its officers responded to the 800 block of Manor Road just before 8 p.m. for a report of shots fired and a man down.

Authorities say an adult male victim was dropped off at an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. APD has identified the victim as 23-year-old Carl Harris of Alexandria, Virginia.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death at a later time. No other details are available. APD urges anyone with information to call Detective Marable at 703-746-6883.
