The Albany Police Department is investigating after a man was stabbed in the back. APD reports that the stabbing incident occurred on Wednesday morning in the 400 block of Third Street.

Around 7:25 a.m. on August 7, 2024, APD officers responded to the area around Third Street and North Lake Avenue for reports of a person down. At the scene, responding officers found a 35-year-old man with stab wounds to his back.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where is in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact APD’s Detective Division at 518-462-8039.
